Origin Root Work-
At Origin Root Work, we believe in community centered, holistic wellness that honors ancestral traditions and the four pillars of self-care: emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental well-being. We recognize that self-care encompasses much more than just personal wellness routines—it's an expansive concept that touches all aspects of life, including art, writing, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and community building. Self-care is the umbrella under which all of our initiatives fall, and we encourage people to broaden their understanding of what self-care is and can be. By integrating a variety of culturally responsive practices and diverse modalities, we foster spaces for introspection, mindfulness, and collective healing to help individuals and organizations thrive.
A core practice in all of our offerings is Council, an Indigenous storytelling and communication method that facilitates deeper connections and breaks down barriers. Council creates space for mindful sharing, introspection, empathetic listening, and the building of strong, supportive communities. Through this practice, we foster transformation, healing, and personal growth, both individually and collectively.
What is Origin Root Work offering?
Self-Care Coaching: Our self-care coaching program focuses on empowering individuals to cultivate sustainable wellness practices in alignment with their unique needs and lifestyles. Through personalized guidance, we help clients create actionable self-care plans that enhance their emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental health, building resilience and balance in their daily lives.
Workshops on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI): Our EDI workshops are designed for schools, organizations, and corporations to enhance their understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion. These workshops provide participants with the tools to build stronger, more inclusive environments. Tailored for real-time impact, the sessions elicit deep thought and are crafted to foster positive change both personally and professionally.
Self-Care Workshops: These workshops are designed to create time and space for participants to explore issues deeply tied to their personal lives. We tackle topics that are often faced in isolation, offering a sense of community and connection. These sessions encourage self-discovery and meaningful change, allowing participants to feel supported as they navigate personal growth.
Art as a Language Workshops: At Origin Root Work, we believe that art is everyone’s first language. Our “Art as a Language” workshops explore different forms of visual and written expression as a means of communication. Participants of all ages and skill levels are welcomed to explore various artistic mediums, with opportunities for guided “Art Parties” for personal or group enjoyment.
The Exchange Program: This program creates a space for the exchange of ideas, conversations, and perspectives, facilitating social-emotional growth and connection with the global community. Groups are available for all age ranges, addressing social issues and personal growth. The conversations are guided by the Council format, promoting introspection, mindfulness, and community building.
Sound Bath Sessions: Our sound healing sessions use the power of vibrational sound to promote deep relaxation, emotional release, and energetic realignment. Instruments such as singing bowls, tuning forks, djembes, and voice are used to create immersive experiences that support healing, spiritual connection, and overall harmony within the body and mind.
At Origin Root Work, we are committed to helping individuals and communities reclaim their well-being through ancestral wisdom, self-care practices, and diverse modalities. Explore our range of offerings to find the path that resonates with your personal and professional journey.
